Tingsha Tibetan Brass Bell
- Size: 7 cm
Tingsha, also known as Tibetan cymbals, are traditionally used in ceremonies and rituals by Hindus and Buddhists as well as for singing and chanting. These bells can also be used to prepare for meditation, during healing ceremonies, and sound therapy treatments. By striking one cymbal against the edge of the other, they create a clear, purifying sound useful for focusing the mind before and after meditation. The bells’ high frequencies are believed to open the upper chakras, while the lower chakras respond best to a deeper tone. Meanwhile, in Feng Shui, the bells are used to “fill” empty space and cleanse auras. To use, hold a piece of the leather cord in each hand and gently tap the two ends together (not bang). To clear negative energy, tap three times in each corner of the room while visualizing the desired outcome.
